Found this site while checking out "Liquid Gold" that I thought might be helpful for those that haven't yet started composting and/or those that are looking for ways to improve the quality of their compost.

BTW, "Liquid Gold" is urine. I just found out about this stuff......who knew?! I've already got mine mixed and will be using this application throughout the remainder of the growing season.

Drats....forgot to include the link to the site! I'll see if I can't find it and repost.

As to your question....human urine, or "liquid gold" is a great fertilizer and compost activator.

This is cool although I can't see getting everything together at one time w/out some of it rotting ~ like table scraps and grass trimmings... sooo, my two bins ~ just really began working them and seeing that quite a bit has turned into some nice, rich compost. We have a woman locally who has horse manure. She said if your compost isn't heating (which is strange in SoCal) then, she's got horse manure to give away. Just bring your own bucket.

As far as urine, I've got a couple of gallons from the worms we used to have sooo, need to remember to dilute and add that. Thanks for posting this!!!

I don't get everything together all at once either, but rather incorporate it over time.

You've got gallons of urine from the worms?

If your compost pile is not heating up, you can use not only manure, but human urine - both will get things cookin'.
