Taiji Qigong

Taiji Qigong is slow, mindful movement that fully works the whole body. You do it and adjust it to your current capabilities which will improve the more you do it! This is a standing form so you do not need a lot of space. It can be done in a very small space w/out having to move furniture or, go outside. (Ask me about a personal healing while doing qigong in a group.)

Kettlebell Fundamentals And Then Some!

Weight-bearing movements are THE BEST way to prevent and/or reduce osteoporosis while building and strengthening muscle and sinew. This class will give you the basics on swinging a kettlebell safely, efficiently and effectively. You do not need a kb for your first class. If you choose to continue, I'll tell you a place I recommend for quality and price (saving the cost of shipping via internet ordering)....

Kettlebells are so much more fun than barbells and dumbbells PLUS, you get a good cardio workout as well!

This class is held Thursday evenings, 7:30 - 8:30 p.m. in Altadena. Please wear comfortable clothing, including shoes, bring water and if you sweat a lot, you might want to bring a towel.

The fee is $10 cash; the class will be kept small so everyone receives individual attention.

Monday and Thursday Mornings ~ Meet at 5:45 a.m. This is for people who have some experience and are in moderate physical shape; no injuries especially to back and knees.

Tuesday evenings, 7 p.m., Taiji Qigong

Thursday Evenings ~ 7:30 p.m. Currently, Kettlebell Basics and then some!

The fee is $10 cash. Be hydrated and ready to play! It's almost all body-weight movements. We can adjust to any issues you may have although if you have back and/or knee injuries, please contact me about private classes except for the taiji qigong. This is about getting to and maintaining health ~ flexibility, agility, balance, range of motion.
